The only thing funnier would have been if he gave us the "thumbs down" sign. |
This is the boy's hand. Giving us the "thumbs up" sign at our 20 week ultrasound yesterday. The girl was all dancing around and we saw her little feets moving around, making it hard for the tech to get a good picture of her.
There aren't many words to describe that feeling of awe and joy when you first see the fully formed little mini humans moving around inside your belly.
So, I will just share a couple more photos with you.
The boy. In profile. |
And, the girl. THE GIRL. |
All is well in there. They are both in great shape and all measurements and checks indicate that they are developing as they should be. Gratitude abounds.
Awwww, congrats! They are beautiful. :) Loved my ultrasound photos, too! I carried them around until I got ones of her outside my belly.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! The only thing that could have been better is if you got the rock sign from the boy \../
ReplyDeleteI used to cry every month when I saw them. Luckily my doc had ultrasound machines in her office so I saw them all the time! I'm so happy for you. Its the most amazing time!

GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH. LOVE. I want to lick my monitor and hug it, but I will (try to) settle for cheering and dabbing at my eyes. So sweet.

ReplyDeleteGreat to hear they are healthy and everything is going well..they are getting a wonderful couple for their parents..and they are gonna be laughing A LOT!
ReplyDeleteSee? He's letting you know you are doing an awesome job! I have never met you, but I cried when you posted you were pregnant, and I cried when I saw these pics. You are SUCH a kick-ass chick! I hope you know how many people you touch on a daily basis, and I'm glad I finally posted how you make me feel (happy)(and I laugh a lot) Keep wearing those heels until DH has to cut them off you!
ReplyDeleteI also cried when I read that you were pregnant. I am so happy for you. You are going to be an awesome mom. I wish I could rock the heels like you do. I am not even pregnant and I can not wear them lol
DeleteThis makes my eyes moisten. I am happy beyond words for you and to be able to share this with you, even if it is from afar, is something I will never forget for as long as I am on this earth. Love you and those babies <3

ReplyDeleteThumbs up!! Thumbs WAY up! At 25 weeks I went in to pre-term labor with my girl. I freaked out to say the least. During the ultrasound, she flashed us the peace sign. Yeah, she was chillin' saying- it's cool mom, I'm gonna cook in here awhile longer.
ReplyDeleteLooks like Hall and Oates are having a good time!

ReplyDeleteYou have a spastic girl and a totally cool, laid-back little guy going on in there. Tell them I say hello and to maybe not stomp on your bladder. And tell them all about how delicious cake is, because they'll need this information for when they bust out. Let me know if you need any more advice.
ReplyDeleteFeeling all crazy happy inside for you, Katy...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. Amazing. Perfect. Joy. <3
ReplyDeleteThey look like little shits already.
ReplyDeleteBut wonderful.little.shits.
can't really make out the thumbs up thing though... Never do well looking at xrays and such. I'll take your word for it though, and here is to week 21! Take care Katy
ReplyDeleteThey are both beautiful, perfect, and POSERS!! LOL!! Thank you for sharing the Dynamic Duo!
ReplyDeleteHot damn! That's great news! Built-in playdates, and a "salt & pepper set" (as I call m/f twins). Congratulations, Katy. Outstanding and best wishes with the later term expansion and balance... all that relaxin and oxytocin that those babies promote will bring new meaning to "gravity" and flexibility... no more spaz dancing in the elevator without hanging on to those railings and handles! :)
ReplyDeleteAwwwwww hi mini humans!
ReplyDeleteMine wouldn't sit still so that the tech could get a profile, but we got plenty of head-on shots of it. It is super crazy to see it move! Mine was flexing and stretching its fingers. Craziness.
ReplyDeleteAh love to see your behbehs!!
ReplyDeleteDidn't you just LOVE the 20 week ultrasound? And yours must have been double the fun! So cool to get a peek at those babies in there - it's fun to spy on them :)
